PRE-SCHOOL EDUCATION PROJECT and SPONSORSHIP!


In the provinces of Sofala and Niassa, inserted in two rural communities with vulnerable populations, there are our SCHOOLS of pre-school education for children between 2 and 5 years old.

ESCOLINHA in Nhampuepua, in Sofala (in partnership with Fundação LVIDA) and ESCOLINHA in Joho, in Niassa, implemented by APOIAR.

ESCOLINHA de Nhampuepua was built in 2020, after the passage of Cyclone Idai, in a community very affected by this calamity and where children urgently needed this support. They needed the attention of the educators, our care, our meals. It is at this ESCOLINHA that the Distance Sponsorship program by the LVIDA Foundation in partnership with APOIAR takes place.

The construction of the ESCOLINHA de JOHO was funded by the Vinci Program Award for Citizenship, and inaugurated in February 2023. APOIAR already developed the MAYI project (0-2 years old) and the KUKULA project (6-12 years old) in this community and ESCOLINHA (2-5 years), through the education and nutrition of our children, prevents the onset of chronic malnutrition that we found in older children in these communities.

The little schools monitor the education, health and nutrition of children in this age group (2 to 5).

The sponsorship program for these children translates into access to 2 meals a day, school supplies and medical care, always directed to health centres.



WHAT WE HAVE BEEN ACHIEVING!

APOIAR has already implemented pre-school education projects in 3 communities in the provinces of Sofala and Niassa.

SOFALA (2 Schools):
Escolinha do Dondo (2008) - ended his performance;
Escola de Nhampuepua (2020) - in operation - APOIAR & FLVIDA;

NIASSA (1 Little School):
Escolinha de Joho (2023) - in operation - responsible for APOIAR;.
