A DELICIOUS PROJECT!
In the most remote areas of Mozambique, KUKULA cooks get up at dawn. They go to the school where, among pots and pans, everything is prepared with the support of the community moms to receive thousands of children for the breakfast and lunch.
KUKULA - Mozambican school kitchens to nurture, grow and learn is a school feeding program that includes the free distribution of two nutritious and healthy daily meals to regular students.
In addition to the distribution of meals are carried out campaigns of hygiene, vaccination and deworming. This is a program that exists so that thousands of African children that stop going to primary school hungry. Every day we work so that more and more children have access to daily meals. We know that if they are well nourished, they will be healthier, more assiduous and perform better at school. We believe that this is a fundamental way to combat the cycle of absolute poverty.
